This summer's Marseille print is inspired by the sweet relief of the Marseille Botanic Gardens. White heat sears down on the white stone of the city, and the stones slowly warm up to radiate heat back towards the sun, baking everything nearby. The huge lush green palms in the Marseille Botanic Gardens sway in the sea breeze to create dappling patterns on the pathways. This is a place of respite from the white heat all around. Small creatures slide on the underside of the leaves to keep cool, coming out at night when the sun is sleeping.
